Were the Romans in your Garden?

Two thousands years ago Southwell was a thriving centre of Roman activity, possbly one of the most important locations of its age. However, we know astonishingly little about the nature of Southwell’s Roman settlement, its extent or how it developed into the beautiful town we know today.

Hi Folks

We’re back, thanks for your patience.
Another reincarnation of SOL, the third or fourth, after numerous hackings and crashes I’ve gone for a WordPress site.
Please be patient a little longer it’s going to take some time to get up to speed.
Some of the photos in the header above have obvious connections to Southwell, some MAY seem less obvious or not connected at all.
They are all connected to Southwell, can you identify them all?
For ease of identification they are identified thus:
Top Left 1, 2, 3,
Bottom Left 4, 5, 6, 7
Middle 8, 9
Top Right 10, 11
Bottom Right 12, 13
Best of Luck.
Thanks.
Ron
