BRIGADE |
FOR BOYS/YOUNG MEN AGED 5 1/2 - 18 yrs |
| The Company is one of thousands throughout the
world whose aim is to train the members into becoming responsible Christian
Citizens by pursuing activities under the heads of Spiritual, Adventure,
Community, interest, Physical. Younger members do games, crafts and simple
marching while older members earn badges to lead to the premier Queens Badge.
The members wear a smart uniform and are encouraged to take responsibility at an early stage and are given the opportunity to earn promotions. The Object of the Boys' Brigade is: The Advancement of Christ's Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, discipline, reverence, self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness. We are THE 1st SOUTHWELL COMPANY part of SOUTHWELL METHODIST CHURCH and our meetings are held AT THE CHURCH HALL, Prebend Passage, Southwell. (Behind the Saracens Head Hotel) |
