| We are situated in a quiet but central
location. Our atmosphere is friendly and informal, our decor pretty and our
furniture mainly antique. You will see that we are avid acquisitors of all
things old! There are books to browse over and, weather permitting, a secluded
patio to relax on, complete with fish pond and waterfall. |

Our bedrooms all have firm beds, ensuite
facilities, courtesy trays, colour T.V. and telephones. The back of the house
looks onto the beautiful and often floodlit Minster. Within a few minutes walk
there is a choice of several eating places of varying prices and
cuisine. |

| Breakfast - English or Continental. Guests
can relax in our conservatory/dining room. If preferred and weather allowing it
can be eaten outside by the pond! Southwell is a peaceful and charming little
Minster town with attractive restaurants, shops, coaching inns and period
houses. The Minster was founded in Saxon times and is the most rural Cathedral
in England. The Chapter House contains some of the finest stone carving in
existence. The 'Leaves of Southwell' are world renowned. |

Southwell Minster - The Broadwalk
|
A mile or so away is the famous racecourse,
and a little further afield are many places of interest: Newstead Abbey, once
the home of Lord Byron, Belvoir Castle, Lincoln with its old cobbled streets
and wonderful Cathedral, Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre and last
but not least, Robin Hood Country.
The Derbyshire Peak District is also within easy reach, as indeed are several
National Trust Houses. Also worth mentioning is our proximity to the Newark and
Swinderby antique fairs which are held six times a year and attract dealers and
collectors from far and wide.
