Minster Community Forum

Next Meeting - Wednesday 9th July at Trebeck Hall at 7:30pm

The first meeting of the Forum was in June 2001 and since then the Minster Community Forum has been held 3 times a year.

It is open to all who have an interest in Southwell Minster Foundation, for example:

through worshipping at the Minster
through helping and/or supporting the Minster
through living in the Parish
being involved with the Foundation Schools (the Minster School and Lowes Wong)
or with the Minster’s wider connections with activities in the town both ecumenical and secular.

The Forum is intended to help communication both to and from the Cathedral Chapter and elsewhere within the Minster Community and to give the opportunity to share news of activities and progress for organisations connected with Southwell Minster.

As a member of Chapter, elected by the Parish, I chair the Forum and it is supported by the Dean and the Canon Pastor. The Agenda is informal and not published in advance, but includes a report from the Chapter and usually a focal issue for discussion.

The meeting to be held this July will include a presentation on Minster Finance and provide opportunities for questions and discussion about the financial aspects of the Minster, but there will probably be additional items, if I am notified in time.
