We help individuals and businesses sell their unwanted items on eBay – the perfect answer for people who do not have the time, ability or inclination to sell their own goods online and want to free up some cash and make a little extra space in their homes.
What is eBay?

Virtually anything, well almost. It is a fallacy to expect EVERYTHING to sell but having said that a vaste range of items do, in thousands of selling categories. To save you time and perhaps misplaced enthusiasm please advise us of what you have for sale, and the value you put on it and we will give you FREE OF CHARGE an estimated value and its likelihood of selling.

What do I have to do?
Collect all the items you'd like to sell and give us a call on 01636 813160 or email
ronwood50@hotmail.com
a list and we will contact you regarding us collecting or you dropping off the items. Then just sit back and wait for the cheque to arrive in approximately three to four weeks.
What do you do with my items?
·         Take delivery/collect the goods and give you a receipt, at the same time completing a brief description and asking a few questions about the items.
·         Complete the necessary paperwork and go over a few pointers regarding does and don’ts.
·         Take several professional pictures of them.
·         Research the item and write a comprehensive description for the listing.
·         Place the item in the most suitable eBay category/categories and select the appropriate starting time for the auction.
·         Promote the auction, unique to MinsterSales
·         Answer queries from potential bidders during the auction period.
·         Monitor bidders and check their suitability to bid.
·         Collect payment from the winning bidder.
·         Professionally package and despatch the items/arrange collection.
·         Send you a cheque.
Can I set a minimum selling price for my goods?
There are two ways this can be achieved, a.) Setting the starting bid at around what you think it is worth or b.) We can place a reserve price on it. However, there is a £10 administration fee plus 2% of the reserve price - eBay charges a fee for reserve price items. These fees will be refunded if your reserve price is met. We would advise setting a starting bid rather than a reserve, reserves can put people off, their perceived value may only be a few pounds short of the reserve and they won’t carry on bidding higher amounts.
Can I set a Reserve Price?
Yes, but we don’t recommend doing so (see above).
How long does the auction run for?
The majority of our auctions run for a 10 days and are started at the best time to generate maximum interest, we do however, run shorter auctions in some cases.
How long does it take until I receive my cheque?
Approximately four weeks after the auction has finished/sale been made. Once we have researched and listed the item, made contact with the winning bidder, waited for clearance of funds and then packaged and sent the item. There is a 10 day return period to take into account. When all these tasks and transactions are completed, we send you a cheque in the post.
How do I know how much each item sold for?
When we send you your cheque, we include a statement of sales that details each item’s eBay item number and final selling price. This unique reference number can be used to track your item on eBay and to view the auction history – including the number of bids, final selling price and winning bidder, if you don’t have access to the Internet we supply you with a printout, from the eBay Auction site, showing the winning bid.
What does ‘eBay Trading Assistant’ mean?
It just means we sell stuff on other people behalf for a commission. Terms such as Commission Sellers, Selling Agents and Consignments Sellers, are used, but Trading Assistant is the most widely recognised term.
We are not owned by or in any form of contract with eBay.
What if my item does not sell?
In the unlikely event of your item(s) not selling the first time we can re-list the item(s) a second time FREE-OF-CHARGE, with perhaps an adjustment to any starting price/reserve (if any). If the item(s) fail a second time they can be re-listed (for an additional fee of £5) or returned to you or donated to charity. Written instruction must be received by us to proceed with the last two options.
What does it cost?
The Fees page shows this info.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, all charges and fees are detailed on the Fees Page.
How much is my item worth?
We can help determine the value of your items by researching past auctions for items similar to yours which have sold on eBay.
Are my items insured whilst they are in your care?
Yes, your items are insured for the valuation amount.
Why do I have to give my items to you whilst they are on auction.?
It is beneficial for you to give us the smaller items, which can be easily shipped to buyers when the auction finishes, usually the day after funds are cleared, plus it enables us to respond to questions from potential bidders far more quickly if we have the item to hand. Larger items can be retained by you.
Can I change my mind while the item is on auction?
No, it is a legally binding contract (once the bidding has started) to supply the goods to the winning bidder (subject to usual checks).
Can I see the items being auctioned live on eBay?
Yes, when your item(s) are listed on eBay we send you the link to enable you to see the auction.
